Comcast is raising their cable rates...Again!

Effective Oct. 15, rates for the cable giant's pay-TV services in the Bay Area and elsewhere in California will increase by an average of 1.6 percent. The company is also increasing rental fees for modems for its Internet and telephone services.
"Limited basic" customers in Santa Clara County will see their monthly rate rise about 9 percent, to $15.65. "Expanded basic" customers will see their rate rise 1.5 percent, to $46.34. "Digital starter" customers will see their rate rise 3.4 percent, to $61.99.
